Some of you may know that I have been a little MIA (sorry Claire, I truly love you) here at the paper for the past semester because I was studying abroad in Reims, France. So I figured it was about time I shared with everyone what I learned, and it all starts with one decadent dessert beverage: hot chocolate.
Paris, Rome, London, New York City, the Bahamas, and a nonspecific desert in Mexico. What do all these fun, romantic places have in common?! They are all settings of prime Mary Kate and Ashley movies that you once held dear to your childhood. As you get older, you may feel a need to be #retro and re-watch some of these twin classics, especially if you are spending a semester abroad.
Smoking: It is true! People in France smoke! Like a lot! This isn’t really news! MTV worked really hard to educate children in the U.S. about the dangers of smoking, but their efforts were not received well in France because these cancer sticks are clearly still as prominent as ever! It’s silly how a country filled with such tasty food is willing to destroy their taste buds (AND LUNGS) for a quick drag.
