by Christian Decker News Editor I reviewed a lot of interesting albums for the paper,…
The term “safe space”, is often thrown around by both liberals and conservatives in their political diatribes. Safe spaces are often pictured as areas were people can escape our harsh political climate, or where whiny college students go to complain. In this case, a safe space is quite apt to describe my experience playing Blizzard Entertainment’s MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game for you non nerds), “World of Warcraft”, or WoW, for short.

Imagine you’re a refugee, or an immigrant, living in the United States. You work hard every day, delivering food so that you can make enough money to provide for your family, something I think most Americans can relate to. One day, you get a call to deliver food to a place you’ve gone to many times before. When you arrive however, they ask to see I.D. You can’t provide what they are asking for , you’re arrested.
By now my Instagram, and honestly just my personage in general, has become kind of a meme here at the paper. However when I started using Instagram at first, it was completely by accident. I originally wanted nothing to do with social media, and looking back it would probably would have been a lot better for my sanity if I hadn’t gotten involved in the first place. My friend actually made my account for me, and as a result, I didn’t really use it much. As time went on, I did begin to post more stuff on there-events and the like, ever so often.
I wasn’t very interested in seeing Ready Player One, considering I hadn’t read the book nor was I very interested in the concept at all. I had also heard the book had some problematic elements when it comes to representation. Nevertheless, right before spring break ended my friend asked me to go see this with him, since he had read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I decided to go and see it.

It has been over a year since the FBI first informed us that our election was hacked by agents of the Russian government. It was revealed that potentially a member of the Trump team, maybe even the president himself had colluded with Russia agents to give himself a boost over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential election. Results have been relatively inconclusive over the past year. At the start of this investigation, Special Counsel Robert “Sherlock Holmes” Muller was assigned to oversee the investigation into whether or not the Trump campaign did in fact commit treason.
After little over a year of President “Master of Wigs” Trump being in the White House, the stock market was at record highs. Just last week during the State of the Union Address, President Trump boasted large economic gains better than anything the U.S. has ever seen. Democrats and Republicans have gone back and forth as to who is responsible for the supposed resurgence in the economy.
