In the wake of the horrific mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in which seventeen people were killed, there has been a sustained and significant activist movement for gun control and a substantial shift in public opinion on the issue. This has given many hope that this horrible incident could potentially lead to change, even after the continued inaction that has fol-lowed previous mass shootings, such in Sandy Hook, Orlando, and Las Vegas, among countless others.

“Dirty Money” Docuseries Is Every Cynic’s Dream

Netflix recently came out with a new docuseries titled Dirty Money, from documentarian Alex Gibney, whose previous work has included Going Clear, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, and other notable recent documentaries. The six-episode series focuses on several different cases of scandal and corruption in big business, each directed by a different documentary filmmaker.

With Steve Wynn, Nobody Wins: Finance Chair resigns from RNC

Last week, the Wall Street Journal published a report on casino mogul Steve Wynn, after speaking to over 150 current and former employees. The article accused Wynn, one of the most prominent casino owners in Las Vegas, of sexual harassment and abuse of multiple women over many years. The report also detailed Wynn’s $7.5 million settlement with a former employee, who accused him of coercing her into having sex with him in 2005.
