The Art of Instagram is V Complex

By now my Instagram, and honestly just my personage in general, has become kind of a meme here at the paper. However when I started using Instagram at first, it was completely by accident. I originally wanted nothing to do with social media, and looking back it would probably would have been a lot better for my sanity if I hadn’t gotten involved in the first place. My friend actually made my account for me, and as a result, I didn’t really use it much. As time went on, I did begin to post more stuff on there-events and the like, ever so often.

The Louvre is Human Culture

When my friend and I went to the Louvre we knew we had to plan accordingly. It’s the largest art museum in the world, with 38,000 pieces of art spread across over 700,000 square feet, not to mention that the Louvre Palace was established as a museum over 200 years ago. Before that it was a royal fortress then palace! Much to my friend’s dismay I was just as interested in the building as I was in the art objects, oops.

Rhinoceros Brings the Human to Life in a Play About Non-Humans

This April, Fordham Experimental Theatre (FET) presented its production of Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros.

Rhinoceros tells the story of a small town disrupted by the appearance of a rampaging rhinoceros. As the townspeople debate its appearance, or even whether or not it existed at all, it gradually becomes apparent that people are becoming rhinoceroses. This slow process continues until nearly all the townspeople have ‘turned’, leaving only the central couple alone to face the rhinoceroses. But how long can the two of them really last as the only humans left?

This Article is a Simulation: A Review of Ready Player One

I wasn’t very interested in seeing Ready Player One, considering I hadn’t read the book nor was I very interested in the concept at all. I had also heard the book had some problematic elements when it comes to representation. Nevertheless, right before spring break ended my friend asked me to go see this with him, since he had read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I decided to go and see it.

Solo Trailer Proves Star Wars Franchise Will Never Die

Disclaimer: Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I genuinely enjoy the new movies being released by Lucasfilm and I love seeing this new, younger generation of Star Wars fans get excited the same way I did when The Clone Wars came out. I am not forcing you to like the new movies, but please do not come at me saying I am not a “true fan” just because I actually liked The Force Awakens. The new movies do not make me love the original trilogy any less.

The Ax Visits: Political Strategist Comes to Fordham

On Monday April 9th, David Axelrod, a former advisor to Barack Obama, came to Fordham to speak at the invitation of the College Democrats. The event took place at the third-floor auditorium of Keating Hall, because the Campus Activities Board was using the main auditorium for a showing of The Greatest Showman. Excitement for the event was more than organizers expected because the auditorium was filled to capacity and some people who arrived close to the speech’s start time were turned away after the doors were closed.
